Rolltop/Removable tonneau covers and bed hauling Dirt Bikes?
The main reason we bought our truck was so we could haul Dirt Bikes and Quads to go out riding in the California desert. But I would like to improve my mileage when not hauling.
A hard tonneu seems like it would be a big pain to remove every other weekend or so to go riding, while the soft tonneaus seem to stretch or not stay as secure in my opinion (at least the last time I had a truck many years back)
I saw the ad on the side here for the Retrax cover and that looks like it would do the trick but I am worried about the storage area for it in the front getting in the way of the front wheel of the bikes or tie downs. As I have a Screw with the shortbed I cant really just give up more bed space the bikes have to be all the way forward.
Does anyone have any experience or recommendations? I figured depending on the cost the cover and a elite engine programmer might save some money long run on fuel too.
Yesterday was my first fillup in the new truck and first time experiencing the 75 dollar cut off at the pump on one run of the card.
