After missing most of the year with a broken transmission, we made a few races at the end of the year. The truck has run a best of 11.47 @ 117 in Douglas. We were hoping to make the Division Finals in Topeka but it didn't happen this year.
That is fast for all motor. At my local track that would be well into the 10s I would think. Im glad you are still into it. I havent heard anything from you in awhile.
We took the truck out the second week of the season and won the PRO class. When we got home we went to change the fluid and it looked terrible. WE ended up having the replace the clutches and steels, intermediate drum and band, and the clutch hub for second gear. While inside we replaced the servo with an R code from TCI and the apply lever from Sonnax. Seems to have picked up about a tenth from before. WE are thinking about a little N20 for next year to get it into the tens.
I would. It shouldnt take too much to push the truck into the 10s. Probably a 100 shot or 125 at most. Dont ask me why but my truck is more consistent on spray. Very wierd I know.
mwvdub, watch your fluid closely. My converter went out on me and when I dropped the trans and pulled it apart just about everything was scored . I needed a core to have enough parts to rebuild.
The old girl is sitting in the garage waiting for warmer weather. Haven't touched it since last September but it should be ready for the first race in May.
