1976 grill in a 74

I have a 1974 F-100 that needs a grill and I have a 76 F-250 parts truck that has a good grill in it. Could I swap the grills.

the outside shell is the same. the insert is different in appearance but is totally useable. just make sure you use both inserts from one truck, so they look the same.

You can put the 78 grill on the 77 also but a few things are different you need the 78 shell and the little metal pieces at the end of the fenders on the 78, they are on top just inside the grill on the top of the fender. they are about 4"x 4" you also need the headlight buckets and may need to drill new holes for them.

78-79 are the same as long as the 78 is of the trim line "Ranger" and above.
78 custom Trim get round headlights.

all others got rectangular headlights.

No I doubt it ,IMO they had to use them up on something.

Remember the rectangular headlights were an Industry Item used by the big three.
