Welcome to FTE Mike!! While I don't know much about the Rangers, I'm sure someone will chime in for you soon!! You may get a quicker response if you post this in the main forum. The WAFTE boards get kinda quiet at times. Good Luck!!

Is that system vacuum actuated or electric motor? If it is vacuum actuated, try to bypass the dash switch with a direct line of vacuum.

Sorry, mine has levers and manual locking hubs. Of course, mine is a 1972 F250 Ranger. I have never dealt with the push button system of the little Rangers.

Talking thanks to all

thanks to all thanks, i found out that it is my t-case motor.if any one that has the push button 4x4,rangers,B11s and explores if it stops working it is 99% the t-case motor ,if u dont use it alot it mite go, so when ever u get achance ingage it and go acouple of miles.do not do this on pavement, most likely to bind.i got my info from jamesduff.com they dill with rangers, broncos and B11s only. they have tons of stuff to make your rig off-road werthy.they are in the middle of changing there web site so they dont have every thing up but some. any wayz thanks 2 all that tryed to help.mkpecor p.s they are electronic.

I traded my Ranger in several years ago. Went bigger. Wanted to spend $ for fuel. I would say its broke. Good job, you know whats wrong.
