Have a 2007 XLT F150 w/ Mini Mesage center. I have read many forum posts re: HEC test mode etc, but can anyone supply directions to change the display from English to Metric and have the new parameters remain after exiting test mode?
I want to change the display from Miles/Farenheight to Kilometers/Celcius.

 

This is from the owners manual. It looks like you can't change it, read the last line.

MINI MESSAGE CENTER ELECTRONIC COMPASS/TEMPERATURE
DISPLAY (IF EQUIPPED)
Outside air temperature
The outside temperature display is
contained in the instrument cluster
and displays all the time, except
when a warning message is present.
To turn the display off or change
the display from English to Metric see your authorized dealer.

 

Thanks for the suggestion. I did read this in the owners manual, but was hoping someone here had the procedure. It would seem to me that it would be accessed through the Test mode of the odometer. The dealer was not able to do it.
