Makes sure that you replace all of the studs and nuts with the stainless steel replacements avilable at your local Ford dealer. To make the job easier, most guys take the inner fender liners out. Much better access that way. Good luck! BTW, what color and model KR do you have?

i would definitely try backing out the other studs with the nuts, 9 times out of 10 the nuts are rusted to the studs but the studs back out of the head fairly easily. Replace the gaskets with fel-pro, not the ford gaskets as these are the same stainless shims that are leaking on your truck now. The fel-pros are thicker and more pliable. More than likely your studs broke because your manifold is warped. If you put a straightedge on it, you'll see it's probably off by more than 1/16". Make sure you replace your studs and nuts (all of them!) with ford parts as KR said, and use anti-seize on both ends. I did this about a month ago, but they're already leaking so i'm just going with headers as they're about half the price of oem manifolds.

Chestnut was the color that I wanted when I bought my KR but there wasn't one on the lot that day. Most KRs are SuperCrews like yours. Mine is a SuperCab. There are a few pictures on mine in my gallery.
