Toyota dually
I'm at the SEMA show in Vegas, and was looking through the truck section and in the Toyota secdtion they had a new Tundra extra cab Dually with I believe 19" big rig type wheels, and a 8.0L inline six turbo diesel. I'm sure its a prototype, but not much else. I will try to download photos when I get home.

I have thought for years that if the foriegns got into the superduty type market, the domestics were going to take a huge hit!

I agree, careful what you scoff at. If we aren't careful, us domestic truck owners might be the pony express rider laughing at the guys building the railroad.
Toyota is now the world's largest automaker, and for good reason - they innovate. They design new, inventive technology that many of the domestic automakers haven't bothered with because they don't have any competition to make them (ie lack of airbags/HID lighting). If toyota comes out with a well thought out diesel dually, I think it will really shake up the fullsize truck market - in the long run, probably a good thing for better quality trucks all around.
Please understand, I love my excurison, but my family has a bunch of toyotas too, and I can honestly say they are some pretty nice cars also.
As far as a long bed, who needs a big bed when you can just tow a big trailer
