Question Drip rail moldings

I found a parts truck with beautiful stainless drip rail trim, but I don't know how to get it off without ruining it.Anyone have the answer? Thanks!

They are snapped on. Start at the door end using you hand and roll the lip toward the body. Some times it help to use a block of wood to help get it started. Work a area of about 6-8" at a time and you want bend it up. Do this all the way around the door over the windshield. You need to start at the door on both sides, meeting at the coupler above the windshield center. These can are normally on very very tight.

I was told the round end of a bottle opener works also.

A small contact point can bend the trim, the reason for using a block of wood. Anything that is 1 1/2" wide will distribute the load and not bend the trim. A wide stiff putty knife may work too.

I used the handle of a wire-brush, and they came off perfectly. A little polishing and they'll be just like new! Thanks a lot for the advice! Brett
