there are 2 headlight versions on the 08 one has the headlight old style sealed beam and ts and the other has the jewel headlights i know this because i looked at both and decided on my xl that i wanted the jewel look

I'd bet that Ford will do a redesign on the grille and headlights. The present design has turned more than a few stomachs and the XL sealed beam design is hideous.

The only 08s that I have seen that I thought were ok were grilles paint matched to the body color with a chrome surround.

 

hey thats my truck!!!

i get more compliments due to the lights than i ever did before. combined with the smoked cab and mirror lights it really sets off the truck. took the truck to the dealer this morning for some warranty work and all the service writers came out to check it out because of the minor things such as the lights that were done and really changed the look of the truck.

 

I was wondering if anyone could help me ....
My Harley f350 2008 was purchased and I didn't know someone had tried to upgrade the headlights with some Chinese knock off lights and one night driving down the road my headlights went out... Thank goodness for fog lights!
Anyways I took it to ford and they said it was the bulbs... So they replaced them, 6 months later they stated doing it again but when I'd shut the truck off restart it they would work and then only one would work. I took it back to ford and now they say the balusters are shot... My question is what does the Harley Davidson Stock headlight consist of ? Does the OEM have balusters ? Do I have to have them with the stock bulbs ? I quite enjoyed the brightness of the ones I have. And right now the just have a normal bulb in them.
Any help would be great

Do you mean ballasts? If that's the case that's not factory at all. Those are HIDs and the ford dealer should not have done anything with them besides take them out. Could you take a picture to show us?

There is a reason ford put the headlights on the bottom. Due to that reason they will most likely remain there, and aftermarket companys will not make headlights on top.
