If you have split wood that's great... you'd be saving my back big time. I have no shortage of kindling - I just have to walk around the backyard

well it is split, but in rather large chunks for fireplace size. but it is all good hardwood, so it can be reduced in size easily with a wack or two.
i will just stop at the wood pile and grab some.

and i will throw the propane tank in the back also for a spare.

 

Cool, that shall work out well. I have a hatchet somewhere... I had one axe but that seemed to have evaporated along with my sickle.

 

I chopped up all the narrower stuff I had lying around so we have some wood at least. It's not terribly old so it shouldn't go *poof* lol.

i grabbed about 20 pieces of seasoned straight grain oak. so a hatchet will pop it nicely.

 

Great, and oak burns nice and slow/hot also. I chopped up what I have which is pine/birch

Weather:

I went outside this morning for a moment... brrrrrr cold and windy and it looks like it's going to rain any minute.

If that's the case, we'll simply be inside. Instead of the chiminea, we'll stoke the fireplace (which is already going actually and why I went outside lol), but I'll still grill whatever burgers/dogs/buns outside on the gas grill for flavor.

So no worries about weather.

 

Guys I'm really, really sorry but you're going to have find a different weiner and h/burger guy. I'm helping out with the Haunted Woods that my g/f's farm is putting on and the barn manager(who's not my g/f) told me she was going to take care of a bunch of stuff the other day and didn't and now I have an astronomical amount of stuff to get done before tonight.

I'm extremely aggravated 'cause I really wanted to meet a bunch of you but this isn't working out the way I wanted it to so I'm gonna' have to wait until the next one. Hope all of you have an awesome time! Lata'!
