Fresh Air Heater Assembly/Parts.

On this new clunker I got, I have the first fresh air heater I've ever seen, complete with the side vent air tube. Amazing.. (and the heat control valve)

Anyone trying to do a stock restore that might be interested, before I ebay it?

Hmmm Not exactly a stock restore but then I'm not putting AC in my 54 but a heater most likely is a must. What year is it out of and do you know if it works?

Don't know if it works.. the flaps & cables move, the motor is 6 volt I expect, and I only have a 12 volt battery here so I don't want to try to test it..

I also haven't pressure tested the heater core, but so far everything on this 54 (thought it was a 53) has come apart very nicely, only surface rust.

hadn't really thought thru how much it might be worth..

heater info

thats the 53-55 style air distribution box, however the unit is adaptable to the '56's, also the blower motors should swap right over as well (6v to 12v) I'll just add to this, that if this one gets taken I have an extra one sittin on the shelf, plus a bunch of other misc heater parts.

I have the fresh air heater on my truck. I thought they were all like that until a buddy down the road who also owns a 56 told me that they are somewhat of a rarity.

Seems as tho I have seen that one before! You can hook it up to a Battery Charger if the Charger has a 6 volt switch on it.

( I met Sam last weekend as we are from the same neck of the woods....he had a Fresh Air Block off that I needed. Can't wait to see his '55 when he gets it back from Paint and Body....it's gonna be something to behold !)

You can buy the air intake new................ its all the other parts that are hard to get. I think the intake is 22 bucks.

I'd be interested in a recirculating heater unit & controls for a 1955 if anyone had one they wanted to get some cash for.
