My exhaust header gaskets have leaks at the heads. What is the best type of gasket to use? ( brand name) The headers are in decent shape. And I sanded them clean at install. I used NAPA brand thinking they are all the same. But I am on the second set of gasket with no luck. Do they make a high temp sealant to put on gaskets first ? 352 block

i also had the same problem with my 390 exhaust, mechanic friend told me to use a high performance gasket as they are thicker. solved the problem. my problem was warpage of the header and the alternative was have it shaved (more money than it was worth) or try and find another one, witch if it is the pasenger side one it's kinda like hens teeth. LOL good luck. dutch

 

felpro gaskets are my favorite
