want your opinions

Hello I ordered some l & l headres for my 460 and was wondering which mufflers I should run. I want a really good throaty sound. Something loud. What are you guys running. I was thinking some vintage thrushes would probably sound good on a 460. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Oh by the way it's for a 79 f-150 4x4

I had L&L fenderwell headers on one of my trucks. I had 3" pipe with 3"x36" glasspacks run down the outside of the frame and turned out in front of the rear tires. It sounded awsome, very deep. It really sounded good pulling a heavy load.

dynomax bullets. Lots of flow and lots of noise. Whatever you do dont put flowmasters on it the headers will blow the internal chambers out of them after a while. Had that problem with my 76 with a 429. Lots more power out of the dynomax. Cheap too like 50 a piece. I had 12" of 3" pipe between the header and muffler and turn downs. Awesome.

I used to run the flowmasters and loved them. My new pipes consist of 3 inch pipe with flowtech cut outs and 3" flow tech terminators. Then I cut it out in front of the rear tires. Sounds great. The terminaters make the engine sound like its spinning faster than it really is. Sounds bad *** at 7500 RPM.
