I have an 86 f250 and I'm trying to put a Gt Grant steering wheel on it looking at the horn button....I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do. I do see the 2 spring loaded contacts, and I half-way understand how it works. I'm dropping the cruise control so that's the easy part. I could use some direction please

 

Cruise control trucks have an alternate horn circuit.

They use the normal NON-cruise horn circuit to power the cruise bottons.

You will need to get the special Grant wheel horn adaptor and disrupt the Cruise/horn circuit.
