Mud flaps for 2008 F250 4x4
Hi All!
I just picked up my 2008 V10 F250 4x4, and am now looking for a source of good molded mud flaps for the front/rear. We live in Northern Minnesota on a gravel road and would like to tap the knowledge of the group. And by the way, I have a great '99 F250 4x4 V10 that needs a new home at fair price (posted in classifieds).
Thanks for all the info!
Mike

Stop by a few of your local auto parts stores. Each one will probably have one version that will fit your truck. I put on some cheap plastic "unbreakable" ones last month that only cost $10 / pair. They actually look good, and I can see from the dirt lines and gravel indentations that they work.
My only concern is why it took me 230,000 miles to get around to doing this.

The dealer says they have a molded one available, but, it won't fit trucks with the plastic wheel lips (thought that was just about all of them). They also said they sell a flat one that is suppose to look good. Such a great truck and so few factory accessories.. And F350-6, I bought a set of factory fog lights for my 2000 in late 2001 and did not get them on until 195,000.. so I know what you mean! By the time I got them on there were some really cool lights available with a clean install.

I went with the Cloud-Rider stone guards because I wanted better protection than the plastic molded flaps give you on gravel roads. They are pricey, but you can't put a price on a quality "made to fit" mud flap. You can find a better price from a dealer. I paid $300 CDN for both front and rear for my truck from a local auto parts store.
These are the ones for the '08, but they look exactly like the ones I put on my 2005. Very heavy duty and "Made in Canada", not in China. The took about 2 1/2 hours to install, but well worth it.
