I have searched for this info but no luck yet. I am going to order new tires for my 2004 F250 w6.0 FX4. I am looking at the Goodyear Silent Armor 285/75R16 or the 305/70R16 tires load range "E". I am concerned about swaying with the 305/70R16 tires, on stock rims, if I am loaded or pulling a trailer with upto 12,000Lbs. These tire will hold 3,525 Lbs at 65PSI, and the 285/75R16 will hold 3,750Lbs at 80 PSI.
Is there anyone here that is running the 305/70R16 on thier truck and hauls a load with them? Is there a problem with swaying, because of having a max of 65 PSI rating?
I was wanting the 285/75R16 but if I can get one inch wider with the 305/70R16, you know this might help me from bogging down so much in dirt.
Thanks for the help.
Ron
You have 16" tires on a F250? IMHO, I think you may have some xtra roll going into and coming out of turns and banks, but I believe you should do well on straight runs of road.
