96 Explorer 6 Disc Magazine Stuck

Working on my Step-Sons 96 Explorer. 6 Magazine CD Changer in glove box between seats, magazine will not come out. Radio says no CD installed. Anyone know how to get this out? If I need to take the unit out, how do I do this? Thanks for any help!!!

Could be one of the cds are hung up. Try switching to a different cd by using the "tune discs" button and getting the display to show there is a cd. If you can do this, then try ejecting the cartridge.

If not, try either tapping on the cartridge before and during trying to eject it to see if the disc with slid back into the cartridge...or try applying a slight downward pressure for a few moments to the top of the cartridge to see if that helps to realign the cartridge to allow the disc to retract back in. Maybe even a little shaking of the cartridge...if these ideas do not do the trick then it sounds like some foreign object has gotten inside and jammed it up.

Keep us posted...
