Using Ford Fuel Additive

I've been using the new Ford ULSD fuel additive since new and can only think of 2 times it has gone into regen mode since new and I now have just over 8K miles. Think this helps or makes any difference on how many times it goes into regen?

Really like the truck- had a GMC 2500 before this and this interior is light years ahead of that. Pretty comfortable for a big 3/4 ton!

Truck looks good.

I'm sure it has gone into regen more than that and you have been driving and it wasn't noticeable. Interesting question about the additive though....

I'm happy this has been brought up because I thought I was losing my mind...

Before I started using the additive, it would regen every 120 miles like clock work. I started using that additive last gas tank and so far, 270 miles and NO regen. I do mostly city driving/idling so I would have noticed it in re-gen mode.

Also, the engine is A LOT quieter.

Yes the new Ford Cetane booster- I've also got some of the new anti-gel cetane booster but luckily don't need it yet!

Won't be long here till we need anti-gel; frooze last night AGAIN!

My dealer is including a case of this additive once I take delivery. Guess I don't have to worry about it until my truck is built though!

Forgot to mention that I love your rig! Those 20's look awesome along side the chrome 5" step bars. Is that a XLT or Lariat? Looks identical to what I ordered (XLT Special Edition w/20's) except in silver.

Not to hijack this thread but are they offering the XLT Special Edition (5" Chrome Bars, 18's or 20's, Privacy Glass, Heated/Power Seats, Fog Lights, Rear sliding Window) in the US?

Hopefully you had the highway closed off to take that pic!

awesome picture angle. Like the way you can see down the road in the reflection of the bumper. Nice, Nice truck. Ford should use it in their commercial.

Lariat- thanks. BTW, it's a frontage road and a dead-end with no traffic. Great place to take pix of cars etc...

Question

How much does the Ford cetane booster cost? Is sold by quart, gallon, or what? Do you add it at EVERY fill-up? Thanks for the info!

It's sold in a pint 16oz 4oz every 25 gallons I put in every half tank, because my tanks is 38 gallons and little extra is not going to hurt. I am not sure on cost may different in your state.

Is the Ford anti-gel a cetane booster too? That would be great news if it is. My dealer ordered a bunch, but all Ford could supply him with was 6 bottles... Seems a little odd, beings as it's a Canadian dealer, and we would need anti-gel long before most others, lol.
