6.0 performs poorly in EMS vehicles
I am not 6.0 bashing here but just posting what was front page news in Knoxville's News Sentinel. Here is the link.

Apparently Ford used to be the only option for ambulance packages but since they are breaking down at critical times Ambulance companies are going to GMC in the future, all because of the 6.0.
Read the article, it is interesting.

i had my hands on a fair share of 6.0 equipped ambo's and f-series rescue trucks, aside from the ford problems the uppfitters didnt help, i had one towed in from another dealer for a no start and kept eating turbos, the idiots that built the ambo used the vgt control wire on the turbo for thier power source to run the rear of the ambo, if fried all kinds of stuff, they were so cheap about it that when you popped the hood the first thing you saw was a scotch lock laying across the top of the turbo, that really makes you feel bad when you have to call the volunteer firemen and tell them they have to fork out more money just to get their rescue truck back and that their warrenty has just been voided thanks to some idiot at the ambo plant
