Hello,

Doese any one have any idea on what HP & tourque I can expect with the following set up?

Stock 460 motor in my 1996 F250 with Crane cam # 353941 http://www.cranecams.com/index.php?s...41&lvl=2&prt=5
Gibsen Headers with Dual 3" exhaust and gibsen performance mufflers no cat converter.

youll need matching valvesprings for that cam. the lift on that cam is just over what the stock springs will take. your computer wont like that cam either- not enough lobe separation and your engine doesnt have quite enough compression to keep the cam happy. you may want to think about a higher stall converter as well because with the increase in duration your powerband will raise and the factory converter may not be enough.

sorry.. I would also be purchasing correct springs and lifters from crane cams. Crane said either the 353941 (in stock) or the 353931 (special order) cam would work with my truck well. They said it would improve my low end tourqe as I am pulling a 10,000 lb trailer. I sure dont want computer problems. Any other sugestions?

You will loose on the bottom end power with a bigger cam like that. Also the lack of compression for that cams reccomendations will hurt low end power. Your stock springs will handle the lift, but will not like it. I run more lift than that with my stock springs. I also run a 270 duration.

id throw a carb top end on and a stroker kit in personally, or get a diesel, but thats me.
another option is getting a custom cam... just make sure the place making it knows the 460 and the computer limitations. keep the lobe separation 114 -116 and duration to about 210 @ .050, and over .500 lift (with springs to match lift) stock cam is .480 lift and about 190 @ .050 with 114 lsa.
also make sure you get a few more degrees on the exhaust than the intake.

not a bad choice, i prefer comp cams personally, my 460 truck ran its butt off on a stock cam, i thin kyou should do the headers, full true 3 inch dual exhaust, big intake and try it first, you will be very impressed, i could out pull 6.0's in it i can post pics of the intake, thats all i got left of the truck other than home 4-wheelin videos

You said you use the truck for towing so you need a torque cam not a race cam. The lowed rpm you can get your torque the better. Allwas use a cross over or X pipe in your exaust it helps with torque.
