3347 miles towing
F350 lariat 350 drw s/c pulling 3 horse trailer from Tn. to S D and back mileage from 5mpg to 8mpg running 65mph or less. Friend following in a Chevy pulling same type trailer gas burner got as good sometimes a little better gas mileage I didn't think he would be able to keep up but was always on my rear and gas was always 20 cents a gallon cheaper. On the roller coaster hills when my truck would down shift it would shake and lose power for a few seconds. I miss my 2003 6.0 as I woud get 13 or 14 mpg it also had arm rest on the bucket seats and the front license plate holder is so filmsy I fear losing my license plate. No holders in rear doors. I would like to see a recall and another tank put on as every 250 miles I had to fuel up and you know how hard it is to find fuel you can get to with a trailer also every bump I would hit the cruise control would shuit off. Always been a Ford lover and a chevy hater. Thanks just the facts and this truck is on the market

You may want to have it looked at. The mpg is way below what others with 3.73 are getting and there should not be shaking and loss of power when it down shifts. You don't have a whole lot of weight on it so the mpg should not be that low.
But then again it is on the market so who cares.

I have a 350 DRW long bed, but mine has 4.10's, 4X4 and is a crew cab. My truck weighs ~9,000 lbs when towing and my fiver weighs ~10,000 lbs. I get around 10 MPG towing with a combo of mountains and flat. I usually set the cruise at 62 and use the tow/haul mode.
