V10 Crown Vic confirmed!!!!!!!!

I was reading through Pop Mechanics at the book store the other day (too cheap to buy it) and it says that police forces around the country will soon get a v10 powered crown vic, with a tranny and motor out of an f-series. It will allow for a 6 second 0-60 time, don't try and outrun them suckers eh?

That'd be AWESOME if they'd offer a V-10 Crown Vic to the public.
Once again we would have a fast FULL size car!

You're talking about the Mercury Meruader. There are some threads rolling around on this and I have read articles on this and apparently it is in, or is going into production. I think it is supposed to be around 300 horse.

The Maurauder is going to have a supercharged 4.6 16 valve SOHC. I have 2 Grand Marquis. The only thing that I like better is Ford trucks.

My dad had a '69 Merc Marauder (sp we've had 3 different versions so far) in the mid 70s. It had a 390CID V8 and the longest doors you'd ever seen. IT had so much torque and HP that I could twist the hubcaps off the steel wheels while doing donuts with the car. If Mercury lives up to the reputation of the original, it will be high up on my non-truck buying list.

Your spelling and my spelling of Marauder are correct

My friend had a 70 with a 429 in it, he was young and foolish and di 2 block long smoke shows just to back to his dad's serivce station
to try some other tires.

That car was so Powerfulllllll !
