September Mud Bog
#31
Well, the 460 should be back from the machine shop Friday Been working on the heads after work, going to start scrubbing up the rest of it so I can start painting and hopefully I can knock a short block together this weekend
Also need to pressure wash the frame and front end and slap a coat of paint on it and rework my fuel lines
Tonight I'm going to reorganize my garage on one end so I can start draggin crap onto the work bench and have at it. . .
But anyways, I forgot all about this weekend (go firgure, I forgot what I did last night). . .wheres it at and how long of a drive is it

Steve, the bog is at Mountainview this weekend. Location is Stafford, just the other side of Fredericksburg. I have the mapquest directions out in my truck that I saved from the last time. I can type them here if you want. Just fill in the spaces to Richmond that you will travel, then it's up I-95. It took me about an hour and twenty minutes to get there from my house. Maybe you could go up route 17 to Fredericksburg as an option.

Henry,
We should be there somewhere around 9ish. This bog is about 2 miles from Nick's new place, so it's not all that long of a ride for us.
Steve,
Race is supposed to start at 11, but usually doesn't start until around 12-1. The websie is www.mountianviewmudbog.com , check there for the address to get directions.
See you guys this weekend!!

It may net me the title of "Mr. Let Down" but don't count on me coming or going anywhere until the red truck is done. It's hard to leave when the list of #$@% to do to get it back on the road ASAP is sooooo long and I can get SOOOO much done on a weekend! It's not supposed to drag out into a project yet. . .I'm supposed to be driving it and have long sold the white one. . .which the way I figure is costing me $120 for every week I own it
Yall can talk crap about me all you want saturday, I think I've earned it at this point

Well, that sucks!! Hopefully you can get time for the next one that will be at Saluda (between Glauster (?) and Tappahannock) at the Virginia Motor Speedway. That event will be held on October 6th and has a whole bunch of stuff going on. Obviously, there will be mud racing in the tire size classes (like I normally run) and the big alcohol/nitrous drag trucks. They are advertising that Dennis Anderson (Grave Digger monster truck owner) will be there for an appearance and to watch his son Ryan mud race. Also the Stone Crusher monster truck will be doing a car crushing show.
So this should give you plenty of time in ADVANCE to get your stuff straight, and as a bonus it is closer to you.
If you need directions to that race go to www.vamotorspeedway.com and get the info.

Karl, I hope you get a chance to read this tonight. Blake is on call tonight and Sat. night so he won't be able to go. Oh well. As stated before, I'll be there by myself. Probably around 9:30, 10 AM. Hopefully, I can grab the same parking spot as before or maybe they'll let me park by you guys. See ya'll tomorrow.

We talked so much crap about you, your ears must have been bright red!!! Naw, just messing with ya. We did have to make some little jokes but that was over quickly. Hopefully you can get your stuff toghether for October 6th.
Henry,
Thanks for coming out again. One of these times I'm gonna get you in the truck so you can have the experience!!! I ended up being beat out by 1 thenth of a second for 4th in D class. Not that it's a money or even trophy deal, but hey, considering that I have a relatively stock truck (full interior and body) with a stock bottom end 351w that has close to 200k miles on it, I can't say I do too bad....
See you guys in October. I'll start a thread for that month so we can follow that along......
