I know I may be 22 years too late but I just recently got done building my 04 fx4 5.4 3v after 3 long years of building it. These motor CANNOT handle alot of power stock block, I am currently making 702 RWhp did 6 speed swap onto it and complete build to it, I am currently going down to around 650hp because of the risk of throwing a rod out the side of the casing. These blocks are tough but not too tough. I suggest just going around looking at good parts, reviews, etc.
