I'm going to give the tube a closer look this weekend. It's mounting is a reference point as well.

 

I know I'm in the retired posts home, but I am in need of an oil dipstick for my '72 F250 highboy 4x4 with 360/4speed/NP205 (I think)

 

To my knowledge they are not available. What I did was went to Napa and bought a piece of brake line. It bends easy and I was able to make a nice copy then transferred the mounting bracket and brazed it on. It looks like ford made it.
