Been reading around here and have heard a lot about the Expedition towing package. The dealer never told me anything about it, but I've got the air suspension and the hitch, so I think I have the towing package. At any rate, how do I tell if I've got the 2 oil filter system? I've poked around under there with a flashlight, but I could only locate one, which is under the bumper, driver side. Is there any particular VIN number that would tell me if I've got this?

I do believe that the towing package has what is called a "remote location" filter. Which means its more readily accessible that those without the package. The under bumper filter would be the remote location.

 

Matt,,I don't believe it's an extra filter,,just the remote filter behind the bumper, instead of the engine mounted unit, I have a 97' Expy, and it does have the remote filter behind the bumper, !
