Oil Pressure Gauge 2000 F150 5.4L
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-Jan-03 AT 11:25 AM (EST)]I have a 2000 F150 w/ 5.4L w/ 27,000 miles. On cold starts Oil Gauge Lights up and drops to Low until engine warms up. Only on cold starts, if its garaged overnight(stays around 40 degrees), it's fine, but if I leave outside overnight or when I leave work (truck sits outside for 8 hours) and temps are below 30 degrees, I have this issue. Comments ????????

Don't worry it is just a sensor that has gone bad just take it to the dealership and have them fix it for you. When I had my sensor go out it was summer time in california so i don't think it has to do with the cold.I had mine changed and now I no longer have the oil light come on and the gauge drop down.hope that helped you out.
