Dropping Rear of F-150.... axle flip
Hey guys.. I am looking to drop the rear of my F-150 to level it out. It looks as though flipping the axle to the other side of the leafs would be easiest. Taking the U bolts, and moving the perches and axle to the other side and re-attaching seems like it will work. Does this mod work? Do I need additional parts? What kinda drop can I expect? If it helps, my truck is 1995 F-150 Flareside. Thanks!

I know they used to sell a "flip kit" for just that purpose. What's good about the kit, it comes with special perches & u-bolts that will allow you to retain the original top mounted ones, and will assure you that the rear axle is positioned correctly. you don't want to end up with a truck that "dog tracks" real bad.Depending on how low you nned to go, you may still have to removes a spring or two from the spring pack.
