I got my first SD, 01 F250 CC V10 and loved it. So why not buy another? I'm picking it up this weekend and needless to say I am pumped. Its an 03 F350 Dually CC 6.0L. What do you guys think?

Its a nice rig but I am not very fond about the 03-04 6.0 since they have lots of problems, especially the 03.

 

did you have an oasis report run on it? If not that truck could be a ticking bomb!!!!!!!!!!

i have been working on the ol lady to buy another super duty for her ever since i got mine, I would love to see her on one of those and not in the old busted up SUV she cruzes around in now.

 

I just bought my 2nd also. My first was an 03 6.0. It was trouble free for the 46k miles I had put on it but it was also built after may 03. My 2nd is a used 06 purchased at 36k miles and my service dept said it hasn't been in for a single issue (knock on wood). In between I went to an f-150 and couldn't stand it. I just had to come back to diesel.

 

Of course I did, along with plenty of research of my own. Truck has never had a problem. I understand that SOME have had trouble with the early 6.0L's, doesn't mean they all suck.

 

yeah don't listen to them. everyone likes to jump on the bandwagon with saying ooooh those trucks had issues. guess what, so did the 08s. but you don't see anyone saying 'don't buy an 08!'

nice truck man. reminds me of my old chevy but the ford it much nicer tho.

 

Lose the chrome steps and rims and replace them with some black ones. Will make it nasty looking.
