Truck had catostrophic failure today, blew a head gasket. Not cool, but stealership is warrantyin it even with the dpf, cat, and muff deleted, lol. I love it!

I dont have anything done to this truck yet except the exhaust mods. My sig mod list if for my 7.3 I own. I do have an SCT tuner for this 6.4 tho. Tuner is sittin in my garage and Im waitin for the truck to get fixed before adding it. I'll have the truck back mid week supposedly. We'll see.

are they fixing it bc of your relationship with the dealer. Isnt it your uncles or something?
Just wondering bc of your mods.

No, truthfully thats one area Im on my own. Dealer owner cant be involved in waranty work issues. Its a simple warranty issue that wasnt a result of anything but gasket failure. No tuners added, only mod on the truck was the DPF/Cat/Muff delete.

Dealer called and said the gasket got pinched during motor assembly causing the failure of the gasket. I'll have the truck back monday afternoon. Glad thats all it was, lol.

When you say DPF is that the same as the DP? ie: downpipe.

Nope. The DPF is like a cat but more restrictive. its called a Diesel Particule filter. pretty much the stupidest thing ever made IMO.

Oh I know. The DP threw me off. It is similiar to a catalytic converter but is supposed to work better on the diesels. Do the 6.4's have a Cat also. Seems redundant to have both.
