ABS question

I have a 2000 F150 4X4 and have been chasing a ABS code. The code was open circuit to the hydraulic pump. I checked and cleaned everything in the sensors, and moved onto the wiring on the Kelsey Hayes box under the hood. I found a broken wire from the box to the motor but it is right at the motor. Is it possible to unplug these wires from the pump motor or do I have to solder it back on in the truck? I know the wire unplugs from the control box but am unsure about the motor end and it is really tough to get there without taking the airbox out of the truck. Thanks in advance for any help with this.
