Smokey n the bandits 30th!!

For the 30th anniversary Year one & Burt Reynolds produce tribute cars for the anniversary which you can supposedly buy. All of this is in the newest issue of Hot Rod magazine. Check it out.

I've heard about this. I would love a 77-79 Trans AM, black and gold, with the 455. I'm drooling.

Smokey and the Bandit is probably my favorite movie. Jackie Gleason is the best. Can't watch it when it is on cable because everything he says is editted.

No doubt.

The first one was the best.

Mine too. So many great one liners. It would be hard to pick my favorite, but it would definitely be something Sheriff Buford T. Justice said.

Actually, the 77-79 was not available with the 455, the Olds 403 was the "largest" engine available, but if ya wanted a stick you got the 400. I am not 100% sure, but the 455 ended in 76. Could have been in 75 tho.

I drove a 77 Formula for 4 years with a 400/4sp God how I wish I had that one back...

Off to get myself a Diablo sandwich, and a Dr Pepper! Though I am not in a GD hurry!

I know, I was thinking a nice transplant would be wicked. I'm not even sure a 455 would fit, but with a sawzall, a few zip ties, and duct tape anything is possible. Smokey and The Bandit is my favorite movie by far. I know every line in that movie. I've had to have watched it 600 times. The first one is the best out of the three. I'll watch the other two, but they are not even close to being as good. I was so close to buying a Trans Am, but it just wasn't worth the price for summer driving. That and somebody got the Ban-One license plate for Mass. last month. I was going to get it and put it on my truck to hold for when I get a Trans Am at some point, but someone got it the month before. Oh well, I'll have to move to another state that still has it available.

A 455 would fit in that engine compartment, the 455, 428, and 400 & I think 389 are all the same engine block from Pontiac
