What year is Uncle Jesse's Truck?
#18
IN some episodes he had a F350 wrecker and in some he had a early 70's Chevy C-30 Wrecker.
I have most all episides of the Dukes on DVD and have not seen Jesse driving anything except various model Fords.
Daisy did start out driving a '73 Roadchicken and then switched to tht CJ-7 when her cousins blew it up (literally) in an episode.
Boss Hogg always was in a 1970 Caddy convertible.
Sheriff Roscoe Coltraine was driving either AMC Ambassadors (early episides) or Gran Fury's in later episodes.
The General was always a '69 Charger, but some '68 and '70 were used in jump scenes after they had the grille and taillights changed.
Now with all that....WHY THE HECK COULDN"T THEY GIVE Uncle Jesse ONE MODEL PICK-UP AND STAY WITH IT.....MUCH LESS MAKE IT COOL???

They had 17 General's during shooting and would write off up to 3 per episode at times. Jesse's truck, Well it was a 73 thru 76 long box, short box, 150 and sometimes a 250. Surprised to see nobody else cought that (250). Cooter originally had the C30 wrecker but later had the 79 350. Iliked how they changed police car's in the middle of a shot, start the jump with a 76or77 Dodge and land in a 72 or 73 Coronet. I miss that show---and those LEGS.

On the theme song, Jesse's truck is shown as a flareside. However, on the show his truck was never a flareside. Here is a video(the truck is shown at :33 into the video).

was said to have been too logistically difficult to continue in ga.....i had heard there were many of the 69 chargers trashed out, like maybe 60 some....at up to three per show, 17 wouldn't go too far
honestly never noticed the truck...i would have told you it's a short bed.....they likely figured that they'd be better off going with something more commonly available (than the older stepside) once they saw they had a hit

I also kind of find it weird that I have to really look hard to find true "dirt" roads here in GA. We have so much red clay covered by asphalt it is amazing.
