What year is Uncle Jesse's Truck?

Uncle Jesse on the Dukes of Hazzard, what year is his truck? Its not a 78 or 79 I know that much, thanks!

it looks like by the grill 1973-1975,the 1973 74,75 share the same grill.

Yes, it is a '73 - '75. I have all 7 seasons of 'The Dukes of Hazzard' on DVD and I've noticed the truck has been a short bed, long bed, F-100/150 or F-250 at any given time, even in the same episode.

whew! glad to see I'm not the only dork who noticed all the different trucks Uncle Jesse has driven. http://campaigns.ford-trucks.net/for...cons/icon7.gif My wife really harps on me when i point it out to her

I bought a 1/25 scale model on Ebay of Uncle Jesses truck.
Looks like a 75 to me?
They called it Uncle Jesses truck but when I got it I see its a Super Camper Special which I dont think Uncle Jesse ever had.

I remember Daisy's legs... I mean that truck.

i never noticed the differences but id liek to see a pic of the shortbed e drove. thats a big difference between the trucks cant believe they did that

I think in the Back to Hazard movie (I think that was the name) he had a 78-79 with square headlights but I could be wrong. I know some of the General Lees were 69's and some were 70's but those are Mopars so who cares.lol

I do that in movies and shows all the time. My friends and family hate it!!! The best one I've seen lately is in Cabin Fever, The first time you see the truck it is a two tone 76 and at the end it a mid 80's model.

yesss... Daisy legs was the only reason i watched the show...
i remeber reading something once that they used 4 trucks throughout the shows run. with 2 trucks are still around today.

It's probably the AMT model (that's still available now from Model King), painted white. Those models were all long wheelbase with '73 to '76 trim, regardless of the grille.

Louisianaforddriver 06-23-2007 02:53 PM

In some episodes they used a Dodge painted white to look like the ford he drove, I read that in Sport Truck.

projectdagger 06-23-2007 04:30 PM

i read that too in the Sport truck magazine. i honestly can not remember seeing anything but a 73-75 Ford truck with the exception of a very early eposide in which it was a late 60's stepside

Didn't ol' Cooter have a ford wrecker?
