That thing is for INSECTS not Volkswagens and Hondas... Jeesh!

(although in TX, they're somewhat interchangeable!)

Some of the insects I have been seeing lately are as big as Volkswagons and Hondas.

I have a lund that I bought off ebay. Shipping and all was only $43.50. Did not have to drill. It fit on 4 existing screws in hood.

Cabelas has their branded versions for $39 and $49 depending on which height you want. They're made by Lund I believe.

I have the AVS one. Paid about $45 at Pep boys when it was on sale. AVS is owned by Lund. One day I found mine split in half vertically near the middle. I called Lund. They said as long as it wasn't damaged from rock impact they guarantee it for life. They sent me a free replacement about 2 weeks after I sent them a copy of the 2 year old receipt and a note explainig I didn't know how it broke. Very good customer support and a good shield too.

It doesn't say what brand you have but most of them have a lifetime warranty on breakage, etc.

You could always get the one Ford sell's, its basically a "lund" copy and is a direct bolt-on...its what I have but I was happier with the Lund I had for my '99 F150.

Iv'e had 2 avs and both crackedin the bend where the hood bend in the center. Last on was smoke. This one is clear and painted the same as the truck which I really like. Last one broke on the drivers side this one is on the passenger side. I really want another one but if they are all goinng to crack, then whats the point. Went back to the shop I bought it at and they said not warrantyed. Mine is not broke completly yet but is getting worst. If ya'll know of a better product in clear let me know.
