Question carb intake/heads on a EFI460?

Looking for some interesting thoughts and just thinking out loud here.

Something that I have never before considered, but starting to toss the idea around. If I were to take non-efi heads and intake, which aftermarket intake and factory heads would be best for a truck that is used as a daily driver/tow 5th wheel/beat up on some local trucks?

Heads: My research thus far has lead me to believe the D3's would be one of the best factory head options. As for aftermarket heads, I dont think I could justify the cost and it doesnt seem that the aftermarket heads would accomdate my factory accessories. I would like the best bang for the buck on the heads and factory heads sound like the best option. I know I am pushing it here, but I would also like to be able to run 87 octane gas or 89 at the most.

Intake: I am thinking the Air-Gap or Victor 460 would be the best option here. I want to fit the intake with injectors and throttle body and both of these appear to have the injector area pre-marked for this. I have noticed in other posts that the Victor is the best all around, but I was afraid that it would be inappropriate for my lower RPM street/tow application?

What are possible complications? Go for it or not?

A double intake will be good for towing. As for the heads I'm not sure.

What would be an example of a double intake? The Air Gap?

That correct term is "dual plane maniifold" and the stock one is very good for what you want to do.

since youre putting injectors into the intake id use the rpm air gap... the port velocity on the victor would be too low for a proper towing application unless you had a stroker engine (521 or 545)... if you were using a carb id say either the stock intake or an edelbrock performer. make sure you port the d3ve's properly. what kind of computer are you planning on using? if its a mass air computer (like the a9l) then you should be ok with whatever cam you choose. speed density would not be a good idea. youll have to make sure the injector order matches the firing order and use 24+ lb injectors.
that said... i wouldnt to it personally, id just run a carb... it would be way more trouble than it would be worth, you wouldnt gain any power over a properly set up carb, you would never be able to resell it, and no mechanic would touch it.
