Loss of power
#16
WELLLLLLL as the guy on Chicken Man says. Replace the mech pump and it seems to be solved. Gotta go get oil and filter and change it. OH fun. So! Thanks and will keep an eye on other things also. My name is Karl Hamilton and I live in Purcellville Va. Pretty country but taxes are too high so want to move to CO. I see your fish. The secret to Gods Power is praise. 'Thanks again. Karl

Karl Nice to meet you formally! Glad to hear your up and running. I am guessing by mechanical pump you mean high pressure oil pump? or Fuel pump? Also keep a very close eye on your oil level after your oil change. 1.5 gallons don't just appear. I really think you should be watching for fuel contamination.
Also while I would say praise is a great thing, the secret to God's power is that He IS God!

Sory for the hijack but we've got a '96 with 260K and it has lost power but not in the way described by the created of this thread.
The truck has lost power all through out and it seems like it just came little by little.
The truck doesn't smoke either.
It has a fairly new fuel filter. It is due for an air filter but can be it be that substantial for this huge of a power loss?
Regular oil and filter changes with Rotella 15W40.
Can it be the pump as well? What about the turbo?
