When i got my truck My dad told one of his buddy's what we gave for it and all and he works at a used car lot. He told his boss at the car lot and his boss called us a liar! He didnt belive I only gave 12500 for my truck He actualy bet my the guy $100 that we did. So I went up there and told the boss wat I gave for it and all and he called me a liar again wich realy pi$$ed me off so I went and got the gu who i bought it from and brought the title with me to finnaly settle it and lets just put it this way He ate his words and put a hole in his wallet.


Truck is a 04 f150 4.6l regcab SB XL it does have cruise control and a stereo and all that. it had 23000 miles when i bought it for $12500

 

I got my '06 STX reg cab SB 4.2 5speed (what I wanted) for 14,500 right off the dealership lot brand new. Even with all the money that is in it I can still sell it and get back every penny and then some.

 

Sounds like you got a really damn good deal on your truck. Must be a pretty quick little truck too

 

Thats pretty sweet i paid 16153 for mine it had 14k miles on it it has almost 36k miles on it now and its only been 2 years

No one can say they paid too much for their truck, except me. My truck ('01 in sig) was bought new and orig stickered at 18,9(still have sticker) I was in high school when my dad bought it for me (although I paid for it) in Aug of 05 I refinanced it to get into my name (dad being an A$$ about ins). So.....I paid $380/mo for 49 months, then refinanced it, and have paid almost 24 months @ 245, and still owe 7K(9300 If I pay it out VIA the duration of the loan). Apparently 21 year olds can't get good loans on there own with ZERO standing credit LOL) So saying I go the duration of the loan, my 18,9 truck will have had (18620+5880+9300) 33,8 worth of money dumped into it. Is it really worth it folks LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

 

I got Rusty for $200.00 two years ago. Had to put front axle and drive shaft joints in and fix engine harness and vacuum lines from a carb fire. Smokes and rattles but than so do I.

Superduty I dont know why it was so hard to believe you. I dont know when you bought your truck if it was anytime resently thats not a big deal. Trucks and suvs are taking a hell of a beating. My wife just traded her 05 explorer in and all they would give her is $12,000. Thats how its going to be for a while anyway. Gas staying close to $3 a gallon nobody wants to buy a truck and folks that bought them to just carry the redneck image is dumping the market full of trucks. The used lots around here is packed full with them. The sells paper is stuffed with pickups.

 

It's a better time to buy a truck, thats for sure. Like EXILED said, trucks aren't selling as much. Good luck trying to sell though.

 

i have the best one of them all. i traded my 06stx in on a 04 fx4 i owed 22800 on mine they ended up giving me 23120 trade in and sold me the fx4 for 23880 i was able to take my wheels and tires and my tuner to the new pickup

 

I wish mine was a stx 4x4 I think those look kick a$$.
