can it go faster?
i have a '76 f250 with a 460. it picks up slow and i was once told what to put on it to make it pick up faster, but i don't remember what it was. can anyone help me out with this?

Do you want it faster, that's top speed or do you want it quicker, that's accelerate better?

Recurve the dist. for a short and quicker advance curve. Put a 1970 cam timing set in the truck to put timing back to 0° instead of retarded for emissions a the factory. Small diameter headers will help too.

you could swap gears as well, switch to 4.10's or 4.56's from the stock probably 3.54's... but thatll reduce your top end

I don't run nitrous even though my motor would take it and I race in a class that allows for it. And I can still be competitive and even win.

Size of the motor has nothing to do with it. NOS is the biggest bang for the buck for power increases.

Try a progressive control for your NOS. It will be much nicer to your motor and drive line. It makes the system much easier to control.
