I recently purchased a 1966 Bronco. It has very little rust. The passenger side door and front fender are slightly damaged. The rear quarter panels are uncut. According to the VIN# it was originaly a pick-up but it has a full cab on it. The original 289/3speed has been replaced with a 5.0 HO out of a state trooper car. The tranny is a C-4 from what I don't know. I paid $3500. I'm very new to the Early Bronco scene. My question is; Was this a good deal or did I get took?

Welcome to FTE five-0 Bronco!
Judging by the going prices in my locale (SC) you did just fine! I gave 1500 for mine and the body is shot! It is mechanically perfect though.
To get an original, running, good to fair shape early bronco, one can expect to pay around 5-6000. So I'd say you did well!
Again, welcome!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 03-Jan-03 AT 08:30 PM (EST)]Hi, I'm a new member. You got a good deal. Every Early Bronco that is in good shape in this area brings $5000 plus. I only paid $800 for my 66 (also originally a pick up). But after 1.5 years, lots of sweat and $2500 it is almost halfway the way I want it.
