86 Bronco - Ambient temp above 80 and fuel loading up
5.0-EFI, AOD, 208k,
My 86 Bronc runs flawlessly under cool morning temps. After outside temps reach 80f and vehicle is at normal operating temps, it starts loading up on fuel causing mis-fires under acceleration. In some cases it will loadup to the point of engine dying and will not startup again. After setting about 20 minutes, the Bronco will start and run until the same thing happens. I've replaced the following items..fuel pump relay, eec relay, tps, fuel filter, both fuel pumps, fuel tank (rusted), fresh tune up.
Some thing is heating up and breaking down at these hi-temps. Any ideas?

This sensor is very important in determining the temp. at which the computer will go into "closed loop",therefore, controling the air fuel ratio as well as timing changes. If it is the fault of the CTS,the computer is constantly seeing a "cold" engine and not leaning out the fuel ratio that the "warm" engine needs.Of coarse, the O2 sensor also plays a major role in this also, and,it too,can exhibit "heat" related problems.

Manifold Absolute pressure (map) sensor would cause same thing, i see you did change the throttle position sensor, how bout the air bypass valve?. Anyway, when it come to this i would suggest getting one of them diagnostic code readers from the auto parts store. i bought mine
for 34 bucks and has been a money saver.
