6800 trouble free miles!!!!!!!!!!!

Just want to report I have 6800 trouble free PURRFECT miles on my 2008 F350 KR 6.4l I have towed my stock trailer and I think I like it better than my 2007 F350 6.0l with the 4.30 gears. However that truck is rated for more GVWR I have hardley driven it since my 08 arrived.

And also want to report that I converted my best friend who rodeos full time and use to be a DODGE die hard to a 2006 F350 Dualy 4.30 6.0l automatic and he LOVES it. He puts about 80k a year, and he is now a FORD fan. He always says he would have never bought an automatic, but now he would drive nothing else and especially likes the way the FORD rides and drives compared to his dogs I mean dodge's hes had in the past.

Thats great, Im glad that you are happy with the new truck and that it has been good to you. Converting a dodge guy is just icing on the cake.
Good luck.

Thats great news. What amazes me is the exhaust quality. I think what is coming out the exhaust is cleaner than some of the outside air down here. I've had people get down and stick their noses right by the exhaust pipe and they can't believe how clean it is. Hopefully it won't go into regen when they have their noses in close

Ya my wife yelled at me doing that in front of our teenagers, not setting a very good example. Sure beats those old diesel fumes though. Sure glad to see those good reports on the 6.4

Got 3000 on mine. Already have two trips logged towing my 7000 lb travel trailer. One trip of 400 miles round trip and the other was 800 miles round trip to Yosemite National Park. So far...not one problem (knock on wood). Still a little disappointed in the mpg...about 13 in the city and 8-11 towing. The PCM adjustment helped a little but I was hoping for better.

If you're running a lot of highway miles, does that cut down on the regen frequency? How often does your truck regen now that you've got some miles on it?

Had my first regen at 600 miles, only 1000 now and hasn't yet again. I drive just short miles now, so I expect it to regen more often than someone that drives a lot of highway.
