Question 04, 5.4L, Exhaust&Intake Need Help

Wow, First post... I am putting a new exhaust on my 2004, F150, 5.4L, Extended Cab, 4x4, with auto tranny. I am wanting to put on a Magnaflow exhaust and cold air intake. I am wanting a throaty sound upon exceleration and no drone when highway driveing. I am wanting duels out the back at 45 degree angle behind rear wheels. What would be the best model# Magnaflow to get?

Also I am wanting to get a cold air intake, K&N probable, that will need tomix well with the Magnaflow. What model intake should I get? Anyone with these combinations would love to hear from. But I really need Model numbers. Thank you sooo much. ... Black Snow Slide

I have an '05 F150 5.4l ext cab 4x4 longbed and have the Magnaflow catback duel straight out the back, and a K&N intake. I'm pretty happy with both but I'm looking into getting a Volant box intake instead. The K&N is not enclosed and I think heat from engine compartment in the summer doesn't do it much good. Also had to make a few minor adjustments to the pipes on the exhaust as they didn't fit exactly. Luckily I live across the street from a mech. who works in a shop that fabricates exhaust systems. We went to his shop after hours and took are of it from there. Sometimes it's not what you know, but who you know. Oh yeah, I'm also going to get a programmable tuner because it doesn't shift firm enough and it has started to run a little rough with around 57,000 miles on it now. The tuner will complete the package and hopefully give me a little more mpg. Sorry, I don't have any model numbers for you, but I hope this helps a little.

I know this isn't too related to yor topic, because you have an f-150, but if you want a great exhaust, which unfortunately only comes in a swept side, check out JBA. The truth is, because of Ford's firing order, you'll never get the scary gurgle of a Dodge, but my JBA is the loudest catback I have ever heard on a Ford modular. (and the performance upgrade is tremendous on my f-350, I could imagine how much it would help a lighter truck.)
