Coincidence or not, V-10 missing

I have had some problems with the SD's V-10 lately. I am curious if they are related or two separate problems at once.

I did a tune up, changing plugs O2 sensors etc. The SD was running great when I started out on a long inter-country trip. I got about 50 miles from home and was going over a speed bump, as I left it I was in third gear. It was a bit too high for the speed and the truck started missing. I was going to head back but revved the motor and it smoothed out.

Later that day it started missing again and stayed that way for the remainder of the week. When I good home I hooked up the scanner and and got a P0300 multiple misfire. So I started checking the plugs and coil and heard a strange noise coming from the PCV valve. Since I did not have one here I had to wait until I made a trip to the US to get a motorcraft.

After replacing the PCV valve (it was clearly bad) I hooked up the scanner and got a P0300 and P0302 number 2 misfire. I changed the plug and coil but no change. After clearing the codes and some more driving I got just the P0302 code. Getting a good spark I pulled off the fuel rail and checked the injectors.

There was not crud buildup on the injectors so I shock them a bit and replaced them with the No. 1 and 2 switched. The misfire stopped and I am looking for a place to get them all cleaned now.

Anyway sorry for long story but after the PCV went bad could this have lead to the fuel injector problem, or just bad luck having two problems at once?

Thanks for any opinions
Scott

Sounds like bad luck, a vacuum leak shouldn't clog injectors.

Now when I did plugs, I left one of the injector wires partial disconnected. It started fine, but after a minute of running it started missing. It's possible you didn't fully seat one of the injector harnesses and it jostled loose.
