250 miles & axle seal is out

Truck arrived about a week ago after waiting 5 months. Sent it out to have the roll top, window tint, plow braket, bedliner, and some painting done. I drove it on Friday and towed a 42' Cigarette boat (14,000 lbs) 20 miles. Today I drove it 45 miles pulling a empty trailer, 45 miles pulling a mini trackhoe. Parked it in my drive only to find a oil spot 10" round beside the inner dual. Axle seal is leaking...

Maybe you should have waited to break it in before towing anything like 500 to 1000 miles I think they recommend that don't they?

If I can't tow anything for 1000 miles I should have bought a different truck. My 05 f350 had 80 miles on it when we hooked onto that boat and towed 500 miles to LOTO, let it rest for a week and towed 500 miles home. For 59K and a 5 month wait it is time to use this truck for what it was bought for.

I find it hard to believe a short tow took out the axle seal...

could also have been a faulty part, but that is just recommended not to tow to give your parts a chance to get to know each other without being overstressed immediately, you'll get that recommendation with whatever make you buy, but maybe you should have bought another truck cause you've been unhappy since the day you ordered it it seems

Short tow, long tow, whats the differance? I have yet to see a new axle seal come in a box with a "don't tow for 1,000 mile warning."
Its a bummer when you have a fluid leak on a new vehicle but as they say crap happens.

I figure this is a bad part or wrongly installed.
Since I have not seen anyone posting similar problems, the seal was probably not installed correctly.
