Fuel Filter Location? - 73 Ranchero

Does anyone know where the fuel filter is on the 73 Ranchero with the 400 engine? Thanks. I'm having trouble finding it because its not easily visible! Aargh =)=(

Look where the fuel line enters the carburetor. Some have one that acts as a nipple
for the rubber fuel line. others have one that is inside the carburetor where the line
connects to it. The first kind threads into the carburetor. It is around an inch in
diameter.

you either have the fuel filter at the base of the fuel pump or the screw in type that is mounted on the front of the carb.

Screws into the carburetor, front. it does as member fl1a says, acts as a nipple for the fuel hose.
