Yes im putting nos gear box and shaft in my 54 ford truck. My question is can the gearbox and shaft be pulled if i get front of truck raised enough and slide the new gearbox and shaft from bottom of truckdown through the tube or will i need to pull through cab. I was told it was possile to pull this way and not have to pull the whole column throgh cab. thanks

 

You could but it is easier to pull it through the cab as you don't have to remove the wheel. You still have to remove the same parts to pull it out the bottom as the top.
