CARTER lift pump - Too Close?
Can the CARTER pump be mounted too close to the OEM? I know it believed it should be as close to the tank as possible for optimum "lift and feed" performance. But can it be too close and cause damage to the OEM pump? Thanks in advance.
Note: I planned on trying the AEROMOTIVE, but with Cookie, Guzzle and company feeling good with the CARTER I went with it today. Got a decent price from NAPA so I'm ready.

I'm just pulling through a see-through NAPA filter before the CARTER and then pushing straight through to the OEM pump. The reason is I'm running a modified Kwik version of the "bleed-off" fuel system. The orifice I used is from O'Keefe, it's a .008 mounted on top of the T fitting then through a see through filter and tapped into the return line in the fender well (same place as Kwik). I want to run the CARTER just to help the OEM out since I now have the orifice. The system works great as far a cackle goes, and I'm only into it about $100. I still get smoke at WOT in the 80 econo setting.
