About ready to jump ship
Nov. order and still no truck, I called ford motor corp. last week and they gave me an arrival date of April 22. I asked the person on the phone if he realized the 22 fell on a Suday, he told me they could drop it on a Sunday. Today I saw a white 450 come into town on a carrier except it had a sunroof (I ordered the DVD package) needless to say the truck kept right on going. If its doesn't arrive by Friday I am going shopping.

When Ford gives out a date per se, it usually means the week of. Build dates are usually broken down by "week of"
So in your case, by them stating Apr. 22 they probably mean the week beginning on the 22nd. i.e. this week.
So give it 'till at least the end of the week. Barring no other outside interferences or unforseen circumstances.

I don't believe you ordered a truck, you should have received it in February or March.

There is absolutely no reason that you should still be waiting if you ordered in November. I ordered an '05 Mustang convertible in March of 2005 from a dealer in the northern half of the US and it took 18 weeks to get. This was from a dealer that had an allocation of 1. If the dealer you ordered from sold any trucks last year the only reason that they haven't gotten in a truck ordered over 20 weeks ago is because they didn't order it 20 weeks ago. I ordered my '08 truck in January, before the engine supply issue, and it was built the week of 19 February, after the engine supply issue. The dealer I bought from is a medium sized dealer and they had 15-20 08 trucks, including chassis cabs, thru their lot before mine.

It is a very long time but not inconcievable. The F450 is limited in supply due to steering column and axle supply issues with Dana. The total capacity of 450's is around 5% of total and crew cabs are 50% commodity restraint. The rear step was also on commodity supply restraint and almost NA for Feb. Production didnt start until Jan 8 approx and it takes a month to get up to full speed. Pioneer is behind in Naviagation systems. The main transit companies are in chapter 11 and with a shortgage of rail cars and reduced trailer capaicty when it comes to F450 Crew cab Long box duallie. Etc etc. If your dealer was allocated 10 super duties per month, and only 1 could be a 450, only 5 could be crew cabs, none in Feb could have rear step, half of those could navigation and the transit companies are behind it is quite possible it was not built until late march/early april and is due third week of April. Super Duty is hot, we have several entries with no competition. Some of these components are simply not available from Tai-Kwon- Do motor parts. And if you jump ship, exactly what is going to haul 23,500 lbs in amazing comfort for you? I know its a drag waiting but it is coming and it will be worth it.
