Look what the Bronco dragged home today!!

Hey everyone, just thought I'd share my day with you. I found a 1978 F350 4X4 on a farm locally. Went to see if the farmer would sell it...and sure enough, he happily agreed. He told me that another guy had wanted it and offered him $200 for it. I said I'd give him $250 and I'd pick it up today. Long story short I picked it up, check out the pics to understand my excitement!!!!!

Drum Roll Please!!!!!!!

Either it's a 78 250 snow fighter, 79 250 snow fighter, or a 79 350. There's no such thing as a 78 F350 4x4. But anyway you got a heck of a steal there!!!! I'm jealous.

Whoops, good call. Miss type there, it is a 79'. I can't wait to pull the axles on that thing, they are going directly into that crew cab in the background.

The Dana 60 front is what I bought the truck for!!!! I am super excited, can't wait to pull the axles and chop up the rest, anyone want anything off it? sheetmetal is pretty much junk.

Nice! A $250 D60 front axle with some spare parts to boot. Sweet score!

Very nice find! I can't seem to find anything like that, but that's a great deal.

People could of put a D60 in a 78 F250 and called it a F350
or Just don't know it's a 79(build date might be 12/31/78)
They just don't know there's no such thing
or a previous owner could of slapped F350 badges on it and person that bought it just doesn't know any better.

There is no such thing as a 78 F350 4x4. Like previously stated, you could get a D60 in a 78 F250, but it would be b/c of the snow fighter package.

OHHH. . .You are SO off my Secret Santa List this year

Kiding, I'm jealous

I thought my $512 Dana 60 was a bargain, but I didn't even get a parts truck to go with it

I see so many potential profit margins sitting on the side of the road just too far away for me to drag home, sigh. . .hows the bronco handle the tow? What trailer?

You see them because those trucks are 2wd or have been--rebadged--- with the f350 emblem and either the owner doesn't realize it or are more likely trying to fool people into thinking they have something they don't.79 was the only year of that decade that Ford produced a 79 f-350 WITH 4wd

Question: If its an f-350 would it not have the Dana 70 rear instead of the dana 60 rear? I thought that the 350s had a 60 front and 70 rear... nice lookin crew cab I have a 79 F-350 crew cab 8ft bed that is undergoin a 4wd conversion this summer keep me updated on your progress.
